Find Your GLP-1 Phase in 2 Minutes
Get a custom nutrition plan based on where you’re at.
If you're taking Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Zepbound®, or Mounjaro®, your nutrition needs are changing, even if you don't realize it.
It’s not that you’re doing it wrong. It’s that your nutritional needs change as you go on your GLP-1 journey, and most recommendations don’t change as you do.
Along your GLP-1 weight loss timeline, what supports your body during the first few weeks of treatment isn't the same as what supports it during active weight loss, a plateau, long-term maintenance, or after coming off medication.
Your body changes; your diet must change too!
That's why the first question isn't "Which supplements should I take?" The better question is:
Where are you in your GLP-1 journey?
We have a free 2-minute test that will tell you what phase of GLP-1 you are in, and then creates a customized nutrition report for you based on that phase. You don't need to guess what's right for you, or spend money on supplements that might not even be right for you.
What you'll receive:
✅ Your Phase. The five phases explained, with your specific phase, and why it matters for your body today. ✅ Your Nutrition Baseline. What you need to aim for in terms of protein, fiber, and fluids, and which foods to emphasize at this point. ✅ The Core 4. Four foundational supplements that help support just about everyone on their GLP-1 journey. ✅ The Add-Ons. Whether your phase or symptoms require something extra on top of the Core 4. ✅ Your Lifestyle Priorities. What movement, sleep, and stress practices to focus on based on where you are. ✅ Where to begin. Good nutrition isn’t about more supplements, it’s about the right supplements at the right time.

Why Your Phase Matters
GLP-1 medications work by helping you eat less, slowing digestion and reducing appetite. That's exactly why they're so effective.
But eating less also means taking in fewer calories, and often less of the protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals your body still needs.
As you start your treatment, you adapt. Your appetite changes, your weight fluctuates, your goals shift and your nutritional needs change with them.
That's why what you need on day one isn't what you'll need six months from now.
This medication changes how much you eat. What your body still needs does not change.
Every GLP-1 Journey Starts with the Core 4
No matter which phase of your GLP-1 journey, meaning wherever you are today, the foundation stays the same. Most people are much better off if they can first focus on these four things:
High-quality multivitamin
Vitamin D3 + K2
Synbiotic
Magnesium
These 4 supplements, together, are the Core 4: the nutritional foundation that will cover the common gaps caused by reduced intake from GLP-1 use.
This will be enough for most people. Going beyond that is recommended if there’s a specific reason for doing so, rather than because a certain supplement is trendy.
The four essentials cover the gaps most likely to open up when you're eating less. A high-quality multivitamin backstops broad micronutrient intake, vitamin D3 pairs with K2 for absorption support, a synbiotic supports gut balance as digestion slows, and magnesium supports muscle and nerve function that lower food intake can leave short. Start here, then add only what your phase or symptoms genuinely call for.
Choose Quality, Not Marketing
The rapid growth of GLP-1 medications has created an explosion of products claiming to offer "GLP-1 support." Not all of them are created equal.
The forms of nutrients, clinical dosages, quality of manufacture, and disclosure of ingredients are all important, but they are not always evident from the label on the front of the bottle.
Our clinical nutrition experts carefully review each and every product that we recommend. So if you’re looking at a Pathway Essentials formula or any other supplement on the market, we’re happy to tell you whether you should take it or not.
Start with the Right Plan
Every GLP-1 journey is different. Wondering which GLP-1 is right for me is a question for your prescriber, but the best nutrition strategy isn't the one someone else is following, it's the one designed for where you are today.
Our GLP-1 Quiz, which takes roughly 2 minutes, will let you know what phase you are in right now and provide a roadmap of how to better support your body.

The Phases of Your GLP-1 Journey
Each stage is unique; your body’s needs change over the course of treatment. In the first few weeks of treatment, active weight loss, a plateau, long-term maintenance and life after the medication all have their own individual focus and priorities when it comes to nutrition. We need to tailor your report to fit the phase you are in right now. Our 2-minute assessment determines which phase you’re in and then designs your nutrition report accordingly.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is GLP-1 nutrition support?
GLP-1 nutritional support refers to ensuring your body’s nutritional requirements are being met when consuming fewer calories while on a GLP-1 drug, such as Ozempic or Wegovy. If your appetite decreases, then your consumption of protein, vitamins, minerals, and fiber decreases as well. Proper nutritional support will help fill any nutrient deficiencies, foods first, with targeted supplementation as required. Our clinical nutrition staff at Village Green will help you achieve this, based on your current goals.
What supplements should not be taken with Ozempic?
Since GLP-1 medications slow down digestion, it’s important to think about how you take things. A lot of fiber should be taken at a different time from other supplements, as it may affect their absorption; iron and calcium are also best spaced away from meals and from one another. There isn’t a general blacklist, but if you’re unsure, the best thing to do is tell your nutritionist, pharmacist and doctor everything you’re taking - they’ll know what interactions might happen.
Which GLP-1 is right for me?
The short answer is that there is no one-size-fits-all GLP-1. Semaglutide is the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, while tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound. The best choice will depend on your personal medical history, weight loss goals, and what your prescribing physician feels is most appropriate for you. Ultimately, you’ll have to discuss which GLP-1 is best with your prescribing doctor. Here at Village Green, however, we’re happy to help you find the right foods to fuel your body regardless of which GLP-1 you choose.
What are the phases of a GLP-1 journey?
We have mapped out your GLP-1 journey into 5 different phases: the first few weeks of taking the drug, losing weight, a plateau period, maintenance for the long term, and finally when you come off the medication. Your body’s nutritional requirements change depending on which phase you’re in. Protein and hydration are important in the beginning, then stable intake of essential nutrients is more important further along. If you don’t know which phase you’re in, you can’t be sure if your diet is tailored to your current nutritional needs. Take this 2-minute assessment and find out which phase you’re in.
How long does GLP-1 weight loss take?
The amount of time varies from person to person because everyone’s on a different dose, at different stages of their journey, and has different health/lifestyle habits. Some people experience appetite changes within the first couple of weeks, and others have more gradual weight loss over several months as they move up to higher doses. There isn’t one specific number, and sometimes the point is slow and steady. Regardless of how quickly or slowly the weight comes off, you want to make sure your body gets what it needs at every stage so you can feel great!
Do I qualify for GLP-1?
Whether or not you qualify for a GLP-1 medication will be up to your prescribing provider, as they’ll take into consideration your weight, health history, and comorbidities. We don’t prescribe medications, and this isn’t meant to indicate if you are medically eligible for one. This quiz simply helps you find your current nutrition phase so we can create a plan for that specific phase. If you’re taking a GLP-1 now or in the future, we’re happy to assist with the nutritional aspect!
